FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | May 8 - May 14, 2020

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Santa Rosa Annex:  On May 8, Inmate Pedro Hernandez (B15916) assaulted an officer by throwing and striking them with a food tray. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa CI:  On May 8, Inmate James Robert (132873) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Annex:  On May 8, Inmate Cornelius Blunt (U22536) assaulted an officer by scratching them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

New River Work Camp:  On May 9, Inmate Hoserius Smith (N00980) assaulted an officer by punching them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Annex:  On May 9, Inmate Devonta Mobley (N26549) assaulted officers by grabbing their hands through the cuff port. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Lake Correctional Institution:  On May 9, Inmate Fernandito Carpio (X81705) assaulted an officer by headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution:  On May 9, Inmate Darnell Sylvester (149750) assaulted an officer by shoving them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution:  On May 10, Inmate Isaac Thompson (527967) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution:  On May 10, Inmate Marvin Pace (B02617) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Columbia Annex:  On May 10, Inmate Jevon Husfelt (P65283) assaulted an officer by striking them with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution:  On May 11, an officer was stabbed while ceasing an altercation between Inmate Joshua Robinson (C01217) and Inmate Vanerren Robinson (V49742). Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Hamilton Correctional Institution:  On May 12, Inmate Earl Roberson (M79840) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Central Florida Reception Center:  On May 12, Inmate Damarus Wallop (S32316) assaulted officers by biting and kicking them in the stomach. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Hamilton Annex:  On May 12, Inmate John Yovaish (V41311) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Lake Correctional Institution:  On May 12, Inmate Antonio Adams (U08976) assaulted an officer by stabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution:  On May 14, Inmate Yahaziel Israel (E41269) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
