FDC Assault Advisories | April 6 – April 12, 2021
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
South Florida Reception Center: On April 8, Inmate Calvin Woody (Y34605) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Santa Rosa Annex: On April 14, Inmate Dylan Santiago (M76038) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Tomoka Correctional Institution: On April 10, Inmate Giovanni Menard (W48441) assaulted an officer by pulling their hands into the cuffing port. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
