FDC Assault Advisories | October 19 – October 25, 2021
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Union Correctional Institution: On October 20, Inmate Craig Leggon (R64449) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On October 20, Inmate Rubin Jiro (L98787) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Northwest Florida Reception Center: On October 20, Inmate Lucio Trevino (Y37863) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Apalachee East Unit: On October 24, Inmate Novello Baker (W33516) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Jackson Correctional Institution: On October 24, Inmate Vincent Brundige (186388) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
