FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | December 7 – December 13, 2021

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Union Correctional Institution: On December 7, Inmate Dylan Terrill (S38354) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On December 7, Inmate Michael Phillips (V52627) assaulted an officer by striking them in the chest with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On December 7, Inmate Sammie Stallworth (218631) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Lowell Annex: On December 7, Inmate Keviana Dupree (N60611) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Wakulla Annex: On December 7, Inmate Courtney Gathers (126339) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Taylor Correctional Institution: On December 8, Inmate Terrance Williams (M28815) assaulted an officer by biting their finger. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On December 8, Inmate Roderick Edwards (901449) assaulted an officer by grabbing their hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On December 8, Inmate Nic Desir (M73792) assaulted an officer by grabbing them by the shirt and pulling them toward. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On December 8, Inmate Jeremy Hart (N13672) assaulted officers by striking them on the face and torsos. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On December 5, Inmate Michael Gallagher (V37599) assaulted an officer by striking them in the eye with an elbow. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Blackwater Correctional Facility: On December 10, Inmate Lanarriun Wilson (N32271) assaulted an officer by striking them on the right thigh with a food tray. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Annex: On December 10, Inmate Brian Brown (G15273) assaulted an officer by snatching their hands through a cuffing port and pinching them against the flap. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On December 11, Inmate Joshua Woods (Y80127) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Century Correctional Institution: On December 11, Inmate Tarus Bryant (W02523) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lake Correctional Institution: On December 11, Inmate John Vicente (083142) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception and Medical Center: On December 11, Inmate David Douglas (X89479) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Walton Correctional Institution: On December 11, Inmate Terrance McCrea (082657) assaulted officers by striking them on the arm with a broom and pushed them on the shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Annex: On December 12, Inmate Bernardo Castaneda (M79445) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Dade Correctional Institution: On December 12, Inmate Maurice Miller (B06776) assaulted an employee. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Annex: On December 13, Inmate Omar Loureiro (396454) assaulted officers by striking them in the face and arm, kicking them in the calf and spitting on them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hamilton Annex: On December 13, Inmate Reginald Graces (J02360) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On December 13, Inmate Usher Banks (133557) assaulted officers by grabbing and pulling their arms. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.
