FDC Assault Advisories | December 28, 2021 – January 3, 2022

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Taylor Annex: On December 28, Inmate Chaffe Suarez (469976) assaulted an officer by kicking their K9. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On December 28, Inmate Debonaire Brooks (H37776) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On December 29, Inmate Arizona Willis (752618) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On December 29, Inmate Marlin Joseph (W49706) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lancaster Correctional Institution: On December 23, Inmate Connor Demots (R77000) assaulted an officer by striking them with a shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Annex: On December 30, Inmate Jamall Matthews (P28323) assaulted officers by striking, grabbing and wrestling them to the ground. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On December 30, Inmate Tamarcus Harper (134954) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On December 31, Inmate David Smith (L10016) assaulted officers by battering them with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On December 31, Inmate Nicholas Gurnavage (134760) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Martin Correctional Institution: On December 31, Inmate Alejandro Ramosagosto (A20996) assaulted an officer by striking them on the back with a shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lake Correctional Institution: On January 1, Inmate John Vicente (083142) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On January 1, Inmate Brandon Cameron (B11399) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lancaster Correctional Institution: On January 2, Inmate Cameron Hughes (K41190) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On January 2, Inmate Lindon Rhone (K20264) assaulted an officer by striking them in the shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On January 2, Inmate Warren Pugh (S41301) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On January 2, Inmate Anthony Williams (194405) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lake Correctional Institution: On January 2, Inmate Timothy Brown (H49362) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On January 3, Inmate Quintae Hudson (129632) assaulted an officer by punching them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Union Correctional Institution: On January 3, Inmate Lenell Barnes (X82201) assaulted an officer by striking them with a shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
