FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | March 8 – March 14, 2022

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On March 8, Inmate Jamarcus Cain (M86929) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On March 8, Inmate Melvin Parker (534469) assaulted officers by kicking them in the face and striking them in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On March 8, Inmate Michael Nelson (T32686) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Mayo Annex: On March 8, Inmate Alejandro Graciani (R80083) assaulted officers by pulling their arms inside a cell flap. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Lowell Annex: On March 8, Inmate Madison Ishie (F70031) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On March 9, Inmate Virgil Gray (F41274) assaulted an employee by hitting their shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lake Correctional Institution: On March 9, Inmate Anibal Morales (Y40276) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On March 9, Inmate Davion Parson (C09283) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On March 9, Inmates Terry Davis (R65221) and Antwaun Thompson (C00143) assaulted officers by tackling them and striking them with closed fists. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmates were subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Union Correctional Institution: On March 10, Inmate Bradley Graybeal (X66390) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lake City Correctional Facility: On March 10, Inmate Ke Shawn Shannon (B60650) assaulted an officer by striking their right arm and hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On March 10, Inmate Adam Zuniga (S19360) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On March 10, Inmate Joshua Jury (Y45833) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On March 10, Inmate Brandon Murph (Y36238) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On March 11, Inmate Angel Rico (I70476) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception & Medical Center: On March 11, Inmate Sedric Baker (129838) assaulted an officer by striking them in the right eye with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Century Correctional Institution: On March 12. Inmate Michael Bozeman (B50797) assaulted an officer by biting their right hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On March 13, Inmate Jerry Jones (K75048) assaulted an officer by striking their hands twice with the cell flap. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On March 14, Inmate Jerry Jones (K75048) assaulted an employee. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lake Correctional Institution: On March 14, Inmate Alison Torres (997081) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
