FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | April 5 – April 11, 2022

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On April 5, Inmate George Houston (T52194) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On April 5, Inmate Reginald Kirton (P10709) assaulted an officer by punching them in the stomach. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On April 5, Inmate Sirron Jackson (J60430) assaulted an officer by pulling restraints which pinched their finger. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical Staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Annex: On April 5, Inmate Terrance Britton (W32776) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Walton Correctional Institution: On April 5, Inmates Randy Grimsley (Q33199), Angelo Beckford (544872), Nathan Mack (055440) and Anthony Walker (P57566) assaulted officers by pushing and kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmates were subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On April 5, Inmate Jonathon Peavy (K86510) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Correctional Institution: On April 6, Inmate Jayzel Hendrieth (V21287) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Mayo Correctional Institution Annex: On April 6, Inmate Rodney Hall (X36791) assaulted an officer by striking them in the shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On April 7, Inmate Marcus Royal (W18545) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On April 7, Inmate Fabian Washington (Y05475) assaulted an officer by pulling restraints. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Desoto Annex: On April 8, Inmate Alexander Vargas (I50086) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Correctional Institution: On April 9, Inmate Keith Ellis (098905) assaulted an officer by grabbing their arm and scratching it. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On April 9, Inmate James Murzike (L07713) assaulted officers by spraying them with chemical agents. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On April 10, Inmate James Downs (762100) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with his fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On April 10, Inmate Thomas Pack (S05678) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Graceville Correctional Facility: On April 11, Inmate Charlie Boyd (J45907) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On April 11, Inmate Christopher Perry (T60013) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On April 11, Inmate Demitrus Gonzalez (H91376) assaulted an officer by elbowing them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Annex: On April 11, Inmate Darryl Streeter (514988) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
