FDC Assault Advisories | June 21 – June 27, 2022

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On June 21, Inmate Luis Gonzalez (R93413) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On June 21, Inmate Alfonso Jordan (T61490) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On June 21, Inmate Sergio Henderson (V18889) assaulted an officer by using a weapon to strike them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Lake Correctional Institution: On June 21, Inmate Anton Cesar (I43740) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On June 21, Inmate De Javar Davis (X68867) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Annex: On June 22, Inmate Scott Coppedge (J70763) assaulted an officer by digging his fingers into their stomach. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Union Correctional Institution: On June 22, Inmate Khadafy Mullens (R17884) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On June 23, Inmate Cory Foster (J07924) assaulted officers by striking them closed fist in their faces. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined officers and noted injuries.

Liberty Correctional Institution: On June 23, Inmate Lavar Kellam (W09591) assaulted an officer by striking them on the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Central Florida Reception Center: On June 23, Inmate Larry Lee (U33130) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Polk Correctional Institution: On June 25, Inmate Shanqualas Boyd (W80283) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On June 25, Inmate Yahaziel Israel (E41269) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On June 25, Inmate Joshua Neipert (S32932) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On June 26, Inmate Antwon Brown (J41052) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face and slamming them on the ground. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Polk Correctional Institution: On June 27, Inmate Desmond Dees (E70045) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On June 27, Inmate Jean Torres (X62858) assaulted officers by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Century Correctional Institution: On June 27, Inmate Ronald Green (C02017) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On June 27, Inmate Michael Torres (468964) assaulted an officer by striking them in the ribs. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
