FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | March 15 - 21, 2023

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Bayshore Gardens: On March 15, Inmate Deja Stewart (C61653) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On March 15, Inmate Marco Denson (984589) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officer was sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Wakulla Annex: On March 16, Inmate Roberto Labadi (M73822) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

St. Petersburg Community Release Center: On March 16, Inmate Timothy Guckeyson (R91063) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On March 17, Inmate Thomas Poff (473875) assaulted an officer by striking them in the back. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officer was sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Century Correctional Institution: On March 17, Inmate Michael Johns (H03421) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On March 18, Inmate Antonio Andrews (M90563) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On March 18, Inmate Christopher Qwens (C09763) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Taylor Correctional Institution: On March 19, Inmate James Hartsfield (P44885) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Polk Correctional Institution: On March 20, Inmate Steve Allen (T71629) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lawtey Correctional Institution: On March 20, Inmate Reginald Daniels (J10510) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On March 20, Inmate Lionel Buchanon (Y13855) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On March 21, Inmate Miguel Figueroa (127436) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On March 21, Inmate Mickenson Francois (B12794) assaulted officer by headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff evaluated and noted injuries the officer sustained.

Florida Women Reception Center: On March 21, Inmate Andrea Neat (V61834) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Taylor Correctional Institution: On March 21, Inmate Michael Joseph (W10885) assaulted an officer by slamming their hand into the cuffing portal. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation and treatment. The officer was sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On March 21, Inmate Christopher Bowen (J31184) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
