Visitor Contraband Interdiction | December 1 – 7, 2022

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Mayo Annex: On December 3, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 6 grams of marijuana, a piece of marijuana paraphernalia and 150 milligrams of Xanax outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On December 3 , staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 24.53 grams of marijuana outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.

Hamilton Correctional Institution: On December 4, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 1 pill of ecstasy and 2.8 grams of marijuana outside the institution. The visitation was terminated. The visitor was arrested.
