Directions: From I-10 take Exit 343 (US-301 South) approximately 18 miles to Lawtey. Turn left at red light. Go 2 blocks and turn right on CR-200-B. Institution is approximately 1 mile.
Historical Information: This facility was established in 1973 as a community vocational center housing work release inmates. In 1977 it was converted to a major institution housing adult male inmates. In 2004, Lawtey C.I. became a male Faith- and Character-Based Institution (FCBI). Dinsmore Work Release Center, Bridges of Jacksonville Work Release Center, and Shisa East Work Release Center are under the supervision of Lawtey C.I.
