Avon Park C.I. correctional staff man the main gate of the facility 24 hours 7 days a week. The institution lies approximately one mile east of the main gate.

Historical Information: This facility was established in 1957 to house minimum and medium custody adult males. In 1977, it began accepting close custody inmates. Avon Park Work Camp is under the supervision of Avon Park C.I.
