Directions: Take I-75 to Exit 246 (Apollo Beach); go east to US-301 (first traffic light), turn south on US-301. Go to CR-672 and turn east. Institution is approximately one mile from the turn on the north side of CR-672.

Historical Information: This facility was established in 1976 to house 272 minimum and medium custody youthful offender male inmates. In 1988 the mission was changed to house adult males and in 1994, it was reverted back to housing youthful offender males, ages 14-18. In 2004, Hillsborough C.I. became a female Faith- and Character-Based Institution (FCBI). The institution is also responsible for Pinellas Work Release Center and Suncoast Work Release Center (Female).
