Historical Information:
The main unit was established in 1977 and grew to house adult male inmates. In 1999 it was converted to a youthful offender facility for those aged from 19 to 24. The facility ceased operations in July 2002. Hendry reopened as a male adult facility on December 19, 2002. Hendry Work Camp and Ft. Myers Work Camp are under the supervision of Charlotte C.I.
