Search Hints:

First Name/Last Name: In the First Name and Last Name fields, the search will return all matches whose names begin with the letters you type. For example, if you enter Williams, the search will also turn up Williamson (if it matches the other criteria you select). If you enter Will, it will look for Williams, Willis, Williamson, Willoughby, and so forth. This can be handy if you are unsure of the spelling of a name (Clark vs. Clarke, etc.).

Search aliases: If this box is checked when a name search is conducted, all aliases will be searched. If this box is not checked, only committed names will be searched.

DC Number: This is an identification number assigned by the department. This number is six characters long and is either completely numeric or one alpha character followed by five numeric characters. This is the primary means by which the department identifies offenders.

Release Date: If the approximate release date is known a date range may be entered. For example, if for certain the inmate was released sometime in January of 1998 then enter Release as of Date: From: January 1 1998 Release as of Date: To: January 31 1998. This will return all inmates released during the month of January. As noted, releases prior to October 1, 1997 are not available.

Zip Code: The zip code for the offenders current residence. The zip code you type in will search for all offenders whose last known current residence was within that zip code. Do not use dashes when entering the zip code.

DC Criminal History Offense Category: This allows the user to search for groups of offenders with a particular type of criminal offense history. This function also works in conjunction with the other search criteria. For example, in the "Inmate Release Information" search, a law enforcement officer could search for offenders convicted of a sex crime that were released to a particular county within the last 14 days.

Stated County Of Residence Upon Release: This allows the user to search for inmates by the county or state (if release residence is outside Florida) of residence upon release. Note: The proposed residence is provided by the offender.

County Of Commitment: This allows the user to search for offenders by the county in which they were sentenced.

Release Facility: This allows the user to search for inmates that were released from a particular facility or state (if the inmate served their Florida sentence in another state).
