Office of Planning & Program Analysis
The Office of Planning & Program Analysis is made up of the Bureau of Policy Management and Inmate Appeals, the Bureau of Research & Data Analysis, and the Bureau of Staff Development and Training. The Deputy Assistant Secretary coordinates with the Department’s executive staff on strategic planning, policy development and monitoring of program responsibilities. In addition, the Deputy Assistant Secretary is responsible for coordinating Department-wide projects and developing recommendations from analysis of current issues and trends.
