Public Affairs provides accurate, transparent and timely information about the Florida Department of Corrections and its facilities to all inquiring members of the media and public.

Public Affairs is responsible for educating the public about the mission, goals and operations of the Department. Public Affairs' staff respond to requests for information from media around the world, as well as the general public.
