The Office of Communications provides accurate, transparent and timely information about the Florida Department of Corrections and its facilities to all inquiring members of the media and public.

The Office of Communications is responsible for educating the public about the mission, goals and operations of the Department. Office of Communications staff respond to requests for information from media around the world, as well as the general public.
