Public Records Requests
Public record requests can be made in writing, via email, or by calling one of the phone numbers listed or linked below:
- Inmate Records
- All requests for inactive inmate records should be directed to: Inmate Records, 501 South Calhoun Street Tallahassee, FL 32399-2500. You may also contact them by phone at (850) 488-1503
or by email at FAQ.InmateRecords@mail.dc.state.fl.us. Requests for records of those currently incarcerated should be directed to the facility where the inmate is currently housed. Use the Inmate Population Search learn where an inmate is located and then obtain their address from the Facility Directory.
- Inmate Health Records
- Inmate medical records are exempt from public records laws. To learn more about the process for requesting these records, please visit the Frequently Asked Questions Regarding

- Probation Records
- Requests for probation records can be sent to co-supervision@mail.dc.state.fl.us or directed to the local field office.
- Personnel Records
- The Bureau of Personnel is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the department's personnel management and the direct personnel administration for the Central Office. The department's personnel offices are located throughout the state and personnel records requests can be submitted to the closest office. Click here to see a complete list of locations.

- The Communications Office strives to provide accurate, transparent and timely information about the Florida Department of Corrections and its facilities to all inquiring members of the media and public. You may also call them at (850) 488-0420.
