This request is based on the October 2007 Criminal Justice Estimating Conference (CJEC) projections for inmate population. In order for the department to meet the critical need for additional housing capacity, funding will be required to initiate construction of new annexes, new work camps, and additional housing units and to continue the construction of new facilities and expansions.
