Community Supervision Admitted
to Felony Probation


  • The majority of offenders serving an original sentence were admitted to community supervision in FY 2002-03 for felony probation (56,131 or 59.7%), community control, with or without electronic monitoring (12,498 or 13.3%), and pretrial intervention (8,505 or 9.1%).

  • Post-prison release supervision accounted for only about 5.2% (5,159) of the new admissions to supervision in FY 2002-03, with the majority of those being offenders on conditional release (4,199 or 81.4%).
