Community Supervision Admissions

More than Half of those on
Community Supervision Admitted
to Felony Probation

  • The majority of offenders serving an original sentence were admitted to community supervision in FY 2003-04 for felony probation (60,664 or 64.1%), drug offender probation (13,598 or 14.4%), or community control (11,249 or 11.9%).

  • Conditional release accounted for most (4,480 or 75.6%) of the post release supervision admissions, followed by parole (764 or 12.9%) and program supervision (607 or 10.2%).
