  • The number of offenders released from supervision has increased in the last five years (except for a slight decline in FY 00-01, 94,212) from 94,765 to 100,259 releases in FY 2003-04.

  • Over one third (33.6%) of the offenders were released due to technical revocation, followed by 28.7% released through satisfaction of their sentence and just over 18% were released through some type of court action.
