Community Supervision Admissions

More than Half of Those on
Community Supervision Admitted
to Felony Probation

  • The majority of offenders serving an original sentence were admitted to community supervision in FY 2004-05 for probation (59,456 or 59.7%), drug offender probation (13,729 or 13.8%), or community control (10,257 or 10.3%).

  • Conditional release accounted for most (4,933 or 74.8%) of the post-release supervision admissions, followed by parole (707 or 10.7%), and addiction recovery supervision (868 or 13.2%).
