Community Supervision Admissions

Total Prior Commitments by Type of Supervision


Probation: 56,908

More than half (55.7%) of those admitted to community supervision in FY 2010-11 and placed on probation had no prior commitments to either prison or supervision.
Prior Supervision Only (25.9%), No Prior Commitments(55.7%), Prior Prison and Supervision (13.9%), Prior Prison Only (4.5%)

Drug Offender Probation: 10,099

Of those admitted to Drug Offender probation in FY 2010-11, most had no prior commitments (42.7%), followed by prior supervision commitments only (38.3%).
No Prior Commitments (43.1%), Prior Supervision Only (38.1%), Both Prior Prison and Supervision (16.5%), Prior Prison Only (2.2%)

Community Control: 7,379

Over three-fourths (76.2%) of the offenders admitted to community supervision in FY 2010-11 and placed on community control had either no prior commitments or prior commitments to supervision only.
No Prior Commitments (32.9%), Prior Supervision Only (44.9%), Both Prior Prison and Supervision (18.6%), Prior Prison Only (3.5%)
