Community Supervision Admissions

Total Prior Commitments by Type of Supervision


Probation: 56,190

More than half (54.4%) of those admitted to community supervision in FY 2011-12 and placed on probation had no prior commitments to either prison or supervision.
Prior Supervision Only (26.5%), No Prior Commitments(54.4%), Prior Prison and Supervision (14.4%), Prior Prison Only (4.6%)
Drug Offender Probation: 9,898

Of those admitted to Drug Offender probation in FY 2011-12 , most had no prior commitments (41.6%), followed by prior supervision commitments only (38.2%).
No Prior Commitments (41.6%), Prior Supervision Only (38.2%), Both Prior Prison and Supervision (17.6%), Prior Prison Only (2.6%)
Community Control: 7,885
Almost three-fourths (73.9%) of the offenders admitted to community supervision in FY 2011-12 and placed on community control had either no prior commitments or prior commitments to supervision only.
No Prior Commitments (32.6%), Prior Supervision Only (41.3%), Both Prior Prison and Supervision (21.8%), Prior Prison Only (4.3%)
