Inmate Population by Race On June 30 Compared Over Five Years
White rose from 45,514 in 2008 to 47,966 in 2012. Black rose from 48,918 in 2008 to 48,356 in 2012.  Other rose from 3,760 in 2008 to 4,205 in 2012.
