Age of Prison Admissions

The average age of inmates increased to 34.5 years which is up from 33.9 in FY 2012-13.

The largest age group admitted was ages 20-25 (23.0%).

The average age of females admitted during FY 2013-14, was 35.0 years of age, just slighly higher than the male average age of 34.5 years.
