The Corrections Data Center (CDC) is responsible for
providing mainframe computer and statewide
telecommunications services to the department and other selected agencies.
The CJDC houses the major databases comprising the
Offender Based Information System. The CJDC joined the
Department of Corrections in July 1996.
Accomplishments in 1995-96:
The Corrections Data Center (CDC) upgraded the mainframe
computer from 106 millions of instructions per second (MIPS) to 175
MIPS; purchased and began installing enhanced technology storage devices
to replace old devices; and doubled the speed of all Department of
Corrections 9.6 telecommunications lines.
