Information

The Bureau of Community-Based Programs is responsible for: implemention of the Global Positioning Satellite System (GPS), a form of electronic monitoring for use in community supervision and at work release centers; operational oversight of the Office of Certification and Monitoring of Batterers' Intervention Programs; operational oversight of eight state-operated probation and restitution centers and two contracted centers; management of six contracts with local and other state agencies for specialized offender services in communities; coordination of sex-offender and psychological treatment for offenders on community supervision; and coordination of the department's Restorative Justice initiatives.
