On January 28, 2000, eight inmates received diplomas at Santa Rosa's CI first GED graduation ceremony. The guest speaker was Ray Rogers, director of applied technology from the Santa Rosa County Adult and Community Education Department. Also present were Joseph Moody, education supervisor from Century CI, Mike Eiland, wellness specialist and Chaplain Robert Jones from Santa Rosa CI. The ceremony was attended by classmates and staff. Music was provided by the Santa Rosa Chapel Singers and food services provided refreshments.
