The Corrections Foundation held its 5th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, November 1, 2004, at the beautiful Southwood Golf Club in Tallahassee. After having to reschedule our original date due to Hurricane Jeanne we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for this special event. The annual golf tournament is the Foundation’s largest fundraising effort and helps raise awareness and funds for Foundation programs, including the Employee Assistance Program.
With 124 golfers in attendance from all over the state and the U.S., the event was a huge success. We were honored to have Secretary Crosby attend and greet our participants throughout the day. We sincerely appreciate Secretary Crosby and Assistant Secretary Denman for their support of this annual event and of the Foundation. We also appreciate the unwavering support of our Board members who were able to attend including our Board President, Louie Wainwright, Vice President,Tom Rush, Treasurer, Dave Mecusker, and members Betty Bennett, Richard Nimer, Bill Woolley, Robert Woody, and Sheila Logue. In addition to having a wonderful golf tournament we were pleased to welcome the Foundation’s new Executive Director, Dr. Evelyn Ploumis-Devick at the awards ceremony.
Congratulations to our 2004 Tournament ChampionsSpecial thanks to all the participants; we had a great turnout and a great time.
Tournament SponsersSpecial appreciation goes to our tournament sponsors. We couldn’t have held such a successful event without their support. Please help us express our gratitude to the following sponsors as you utilize their services in the future.
We also had many silent auction items donated and many volunteers who made this event possible. I am grateful to our volunteers who helped make this event such a success. My appreciation goes to Staci Lilliston, Sheila Logue, Rebecca Evans, Leanne Powell, David Fell, Dr. Evelyn Ploumis-Devick, Debbie Buchanan, Janice Mortimer, Betty Bennett, Louie Wainwright, Robert Woody and Dave Mecusker for volunteering their time and for their hard work and dedication to the Corrections Foundation. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success. We have the greatest golfers, staff and volunteers around!
