This study was funded in June of 1999 by the Florida Department of Corrections under Grant 97-44 Batterers' Intervention Program Operating Trust Fund.
The Department is statutorily mandated to certify and monitor Batterer Intervention Programs.
The Department's Research unit received a grant to evaluate the effectiveness of these programs.
This survey was conducted to collect information on domestic violence issues and their relationship to those Batterer Intervention Programs.
The cost of the survey was $6,000. The points of view expressed are those of survey respondents and do not necessarily reflect the official position of the Florida Department of Corrections.
