More than 1 in 2 Floridians (55.5%) know at least one person who has been a victim of domestic violence. In cases where Floridians knew of more than one person who was a victim of domestic violence, their response was counted only once and included in the category for the closest relationship to the respondent. The categories were ranked in the following order: immediate family member, other relative, friend, co-worker, acquaintance and other.
