Offenders on Supervision
On January 31, 2002, there were 154,319 active or active-suspense offenders on community supervision.
Types of Supervision (January 31, 2003)

| Community Control | 13,327 | 8.6% |
| Pre-Trial Intervention | 8,144 | 5.3% |
| Post Prison Release | 5,556 | 3.6% |
| Other | 8 | 0.0% |
| Total | 154,319 | 100.0% |
The majority of those on supervision in January were convicted of a property (35.0%) or drug (27.3%) offense.
In January:
- 8,325 offenders were admitted to supervision
- 2,437 successfully completed their supervision
- 3,800 had supervision revoked for a new offense (35.8%) or technical violation (64.2%)
