Older Inmates
- There were 7,691 inmates age 50
or older in prison on June 30,
2003. This is an increase of
12.2% since last year (6,852
inmates on June 30, 2002).
Escapes
- The last escape from a secure
perimeter was in April 2000. No
inmate has escaped from a fenced,
secured perimeter for more than
three years.
