This Monthly Status Report provides a brief profile of Florida's community supervision population. The supervision population consists of all offenders on supervision through specific court placement or other assignment to a community-based program as a condition of prison release. The overall population on the last day of the month is broken down into status types:
Supervision types are divided into Original Sentence, Post Prison Release and Other Supervision Types. These represent the actual types of supervision imposed by the court or the Parole Commission. As of March 31, 2007:
Note: As of July 21, 2006 the number of regions was changed from 3 to 4. Reports for July 2006 forward reflect those regions. Regional comparisons to prior reports would be inaccurate. Circuits 11, 15, 16 and 17 make up the new region 4. Circuit 5 moved from region 1 to 2 and circuit 19 moved from 3 to 2. Circuits 6, 12, and 13 have been moved from region 2 to 3.
