
Program Duration: 3 ½ weeks to 8 weeks
Program Description: The 100-Hour Transition Program is a statutorily mandated transition program which covers job readiness and life management skills, including the change process and criminal thinking; decision-making; problem solving; values and principles; goals and goal setting; social situations; health and wellness; substance abuse, addictions and recovery; families; employment; money matters; and community reentry. This program (or an approved equivalent) is provided to all inmates within the 18 month period prior to their release.
Recipients: All Inmates releasing from the Florida Department of Corrections.
Criteria for Admission: Within 18 months of release.
Institutional: The programs are implemented in various institutions throughout the state.
