Program Name: Community Corrections Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Programs

Program Duration: Determined by a court order or individualized treatment needs as assessed by the Provider.

Program Description: These community-based contracted programs provide individual, group and or family counseling sessions and activities for offenders who are ordered by the Court or releasing authority to participate in treatment.

Outpatient services are provided on a variety of intensity levels statewide based on individual offender needs. These therapeutic activities and interventions focus on changing the offenders' behaviors to assist them in their recovery from substance abuse and successful termination from community supervision. Offenders continue to reside and work in the community while participating in treatment.

All programs are licensed by the Department of Children and Families and provide treatment in accordance with Chapter 65D-30 (licensing standards for substance abuse).

Recipients: Recipients are felony offenders who are under community supervision with the Department of Corrections.

Criteria for admission: Offenders must be under community supervision with the Department and must be either court ordered, required through Interstate Compact, be in accordance with the terms of a Pre-Trial Intervention Agreement or referred by the Probation Officer to participate in the program.

Agency Wide Implementation: Contracted programs are located in various Judicial Circuits throughout the state
