Re: Acceptance of Gift Under Section 106.441, Ordinance Code

Dear Warden Flores:

Thank you for your generous offer to donate Roxy (a police service dog) to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) K-9 Unit. Your donation provides JSO the ability to deploy highly effective specialized units, such as the K-9 unit, in crime-fighting missions.

Pursuant to Section 106.441 of the City of Jacksonville Ordinance Code, I am authorized to accept this donation provided that such donation is given without condition, limitation or restriction, and provided that you are aware that acceptance of this donation does not obligate the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office or the City of Jacksonville in any way. It is my understanding that this donation is indeed given with out such a condition, limitation, restriction or obligation. Therefore, I am pleased to accept this wonderful gift for and on behalf of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the City of Jacksonville.

Again, thank you for allowing the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the City of Jacksonville to be the recipient of your generosity.
