04/26/11 | Baker C.I. Nurse S. Grooms Gives a Big Thumbs up to Sgt. Cutford

Hello,
There's been a lot happening the last couple of weeks. I'd like to tell something good that happened that very few are aware of. I do confinement rounds 3 days a week. The officers down there are a great group. They walk rounds with me as soon as they are free to do so and are always courteous. Last Wednesday I walked into confinement and it looked like a tornado was going through. They were right in the middle of a thorough shake down/search. I knew they were busy and stood quietly until someone had a free moment to walk with me. Sgt Cutford, assisting with the shake down noticed me there. As soon as she got to a stopping point, she came and offered to walk the medical rounds with me. Not only did she walk that wing with me, she walked the other one too. When the walks were completed she also pulled the one inmate I needed to see in confinement for sick call. I feel her willingness to help with duties not in her normal routine and her willingness to go above and beyond voluntarily should be recognized and applauded. I think she deserves a really big thumbs up.
