DC C.A.N. Helps With Spring Cleaning

The staff of the Department of Corrections Community Assistance Network (DC C.A.N.) wants to help you clean up!

Since we know it's that time of year when everybody gets rid of clothes that somehow shrunk since last year and bicycles that wore out from power riding, we'd like to offer our help.

If you have unwanted shoes or clothes, please donate them to us for delivery to an area shelter or family. If you have bicycles, wagons, dump trucks, doll houses, skates, skateboards, toys or anything else you want to donate please bring it to our offices on April 24. Our inmates will fix what needs fixing. All toys and dolls will be refurbished for deserving children and families.

DC C.A.N. is a two-year-old organization that assists families throughout Florida. Its primary focus is to provide toys, dolls, refurbished bicycles, food, clothing and other items. Volunteers collect donations all year for shelters, schools, churches, and other groups.

So whether you have extra stuffed animals around the house or box/ceiling fans that could keep someone a bit cooler in the coming months, please drop these items off. You'll be glad you did!
