Realignment Update

In response to recent concerns and questions that have been raised about realignment, Secretary Michael W. Moore wants to inform all Department of Corrections' employees of the following:

• No employee will lose their job with the Department of Corrections due to realignment of functions.

• No employee will be required to move; however, employees may choose to be reassigned to another position at their location or accept other opportunities at other locations.

• No employee will receive a reduction in salary.

• The realignment will be implemented in accordance with the career service rules.

• We are not certain of the design of the service centers.
