Death Row Inmate Dies
of Natural Causes

Tallahassee - Death Row inmate Lawrence Singleton (DC# 529518) died of natural causes on Friday, December 28, 2001. Singleton was pronounced deceased at approximately 10:30 pm at the North Florida Reception Center hospital near Starke. Singleton died as the result of cancer.

Singleton was sentenced to death for a 1997 murder in Hillsborough County and had been on Death Row since 1998. There were never any death warrants signed for his execution.
