Bushnell - A state prison inmate escaped from a work squad Wednesday morning.
Minimum custody inmate Michael J. Papadelis (DC# R21528) was assigned to an outside work detail on the grounds of Sumter Forestry Camp in Bushnell. He was discovered missing at approximately 11:40 am.
Papadelis was incarcerated at Sumter Forestry Camp in Bushnell. Papadelis custody level did not require constant sight supervision by correctional officers. He was serving a five years and four month sentence for shooting missiles into dwelling/vehicle (three counts), aggravated assault and carrying a concealed firearm. His tentative release date was July 18, 2005.
The Department of Corrections and local law enforcement are searching for Papadelis. Anyone who sees him should call 911.
