Department of Corrections Secretary Michael Moore said today Tony Dungy, Head Coach of the Indianapolis Colts and former Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will visit two Florida prisons on Saturday, July 13.
"I'm pleased to welcome Coach Dungy to Lake and Polk Correctional Institutions," Moore said. "He has a positive message to offer, and we're grateful to him for taking time from his busy schedule to bring that message to our inmates."
Dungy has been active in the Tampa Bay community since his days as Head Coach of the Buccaneers. Dungy and his wife, Lauren, take time each year to visit with prison inmates, share their testimony, and deliver a message of hope. He also participates with Family First, an organization that promotes strengthening the father's role in the family.
