Secretary Moore to Visit
Tampa Front Porch Community

On Tuesday, July 23, 10:00 a.m., German-American Club, 2105 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, Department of Corrections Secretary Michael Moore will visit the Tampa Front Porch Community. He will discuss services the department can provide to help residents reach their Front Porch goals. Secretary Moore will then take a brief tour of the German-American Club, following which he will take questions.

Front Porch Florida is a program initiated by Governor Bush to help urban Floridians take back their neighborhoods. Through Front Porch Florida, citizens seek to improve schools, reduce crime, increase economic opportunities and provide adequate infrastructure and affordable housing opportunities. In doing so, it will create environments that foster strong families and vital communities.

Revitalization of 22nd Street, enhancing public transportation, and providing improvements to recreational facilities is a focus of the Heart of East Tampa Front Porch Community.
