Subject:Group Media Interview for Amos King

Death Row inmate Amos King is to be executed by lethal injection at 6:00 pm on January 24 at Florida State Prison (FSP). King has exercised his option under DOC policy to conduct a group media interview, which is scheduled for Wednesday, January 23 at 2:30 pm. All media representatives attending the group interview should report to the administration building at FSP no later than 2:15 pm.

Broadcast media may allow up to 3 people (reporter, camera operator and sound technician) and print media may bring 1 reporter and 1 photographer to the group interview. A list of attendees from each media outlet must be received in the Public Affairs Office by 9 am Tuesday, January 22. Please send all correspondences to or via fax at 850-922-2848.

At all times, the following Department of Corrections rules are in effect. Cell phones, pagers and pocketknives are not permitted inside FSP. Witnesses must dress appropriately and may not wear tank tops, t-shirts, shorts or sandals. Everyone is subject to search before entering FSP and everyone must carry photo identification.

Reporters interested in the condemned inmate's crime, trial, appeals or his life in general are urged to research those issues in advance. DOC may not be able to answer press inquiries that are not directly related to his stay on Death Row or the execution process.
