Tampa Bay Buccaneers
to Visit Polk Prison

The Florida Department of Corrections will be welcoming six (6) Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Polk Correctional Institution (Polk CI) on Tuesday, November 4.

Anthony McFarland, Jermaine Phillips, Ryan Nece, Jason Whittle, Shelton Quarles, and Roman Oben will be speaking to the inmates about their own personal faith and they will attend a graduation ceremony for inmates in Polk CI's Faith Based Dorm. The visit is being arranged through the Leland Family Ministries, an outreach ministry established to mentor and support juvenile offenders and their families. This will be their first visit to an adult prison.

Media wishing to attend the event should plan to be at the prison no later than 10 am. After 10 am, admittance is not guaranteed. All reporters and photographers are reminded to wear appropriate clothing and should bring a valid id; shorts, muscle shirts, etc are not permitted inside the prison. There will be numerous photo and video opportunities of the players and inmates inside the prison.
