Crosby Announces
Warden Appointments

TALLAHASSEE - Secretary of Corrections James V. Crosby, Jr. today announced that due to personal reasons, Don Gladish will return to Marion Correctional Institution (CI) as warden.

Secretary Crosby has named Chester Lambdin, warden at Okeechobee CI to warden of Charlotte CI. Lambdin is a 33-year veteran of the Department of Corrections and also has 4 years of private corrections experience. Lambdin worked his way through the ranks and was promoted to warden at Desoto CI in July 1984. Lambdin has served as warden at Glades CI, Central Florida Reception Center, Martin CI and most recently at Okeechobee CI since March 2001.

"Chester has served as warden at 5 prisons in Florida and over his long career he has proven he has the skills and the ability to lead in a variety of situations," said Crosby. "I have the utmost faith and confidence in Chester and I know he will bring his best to Charlotte."

The appointments are effective immediately and starting dates will be coordinated with the Regional Directors.
