Suicide Prevention Walk
Tallahassee - Secretary James R. McDonough will speak on Suicide Prevention at 4:00 PM Wednesday at the west side of the Capitol in Waller Park (beside dolphin fountain).
The press event follows the Suicide Prevention Walk sponsored by the Governor’s Office of Drug Control. McDonough initiated the first walk in 1999 as part of a strategy to raise public awareness of suicide and lower Florida’s suicide rates, currently 13th in the nation.
